Mark Alford Is our President thinking about doing away with the home mortgage deduction?
Feds rethink policies that encourage home ownership - USATODAY.com
Policymakers will weigh whether major changes should be made in the way Americans buy homes, and how much the government should participate.
Phil S - Well it is understandable. When the government is bleeding red ink, how else are they going to expand entitlements except to raise taxes on the working class? We forget that our government owns the air we breathe. Just ask the FAA who the sky belongs to.
Kelly W - I am so sick of everything Obama is doing to ruin the country! I really think he is the Anti-Christ!
Herbigmouth - Just wanted to note that the unfortunate demise of the government started a little before Obama took office( try years)--it didn't just start going down crap mountain 18 months ago. While this is not fair, the government in it's entirety spends too much time campaigning and fighting for political parties instead of what is right for us as a country.
As for Anti-Christ--I am not sure that even makes sense or has a role in these discussions. Besides--there are plenty of Christians in politics that make some pretty bad decisions.
Phil S. - Watch "The Smartest Guys In The Room" if you have any doubts as to whether or not our government has been selling us out prior to the current administration. The only difference seems to be which group of fat cats get to fleece us.
Kelly W - bigmouth and Phil, not once did I mention anything about problems not being had before Obama, I am saying he has done no good for our country...NOT ONE THING...but he has done harm and he will be the one to completely ruin our country. This is a good letter and so is the fox news link. It was reported on CNN that if America had to vote again, Obama would not be President, so I think people are seeing him for who he really is.
Herbigmouth - Kelly --this has definitely brought about awareness and discussion--which is good regardless. That said, I could not disagree with you more. Any one of us can google a story from the media that supports either of our personal political positions--that is exactly my point. It is because of the current state that all the underhandedness has been coming to the surface--the majority of both parties in previous administrations have historically conspired to better themselves and not the country. I would vote for him again and quite frankly I know that all that I now that voted for him continue to push for the acceptance of change and less food throwing. We have been overtaxed a long time--but we as people always demand instant gratification and can't see in the long term--that is why historically bad decisions get supported and probably why we are such a glutinous nation.
I am quite fearful of the simpletons and backward thinkers that we as a people even allow to run for offices--that in and of itself is scary. One man alone can not destroy the country --if that were the case, Bush would have done a lot more damage.
Giny W-I know several people that were all just stupid enough to vote him back in .. Guess we'll see
Giny W - Theyve taken everything else away why Not THAT TOO. BUGGERS>>
Phil S - I don't think it's fair to call President Obama the Antichrist. I do however, suspect that he may secretly dream of being a Sith Lord.
herbigmouth- calling people "stupid" is exactly my point--none of that is constructive
That said --I hope the views of those considered "stupid" stay in force so we can have another 4 years of evolution and change and not another 8 of antiquated government and "good old boy" mentality.
Sooo--ladies and gentlemen--is it just me or are you scared of the crazy too. Well--all I know is if crazy takes over, I will start campaigning for that little Levi kid for President ( just kidding--I wouldn't go that far).
I love that as I am reading your post I look over and there is a google ad that says "Obama Care, Stop Him!" LOL.
ReplyDeleteTry mentioning Miley Cyrus in a post, I dare ya ;)
Well, I think all this pretty much points to why there is not much point in discussing politics online with strangers. People make ignorant comments aimed more at hurting the other user's feelings versus actually stating anything intelligent. Frustrating, yes.
ReplyDeleteInteresting post!
That post above is me (Kelli), I don't know how my name got changed to the above.
ReplyDeleteSo, it stinks to not know how to control one's own google account. sheesh.
Kelli--I changed all for privacy to some extent since I was reposting. I have no idea what you are referring to about managing your google account. If you want to put your full name on my web page--knock yourself out--I was trying to be respecftul.
