HERE SHE IS---littlebigmouth !!!!!!!
Yep, it has been 10 days today. The biscuit is here. SHE has arrived.
She had to be delivered c-section but she came in with a bang, or should I say "scream". Her lungs, and everything else, are in complete working order. 10 toes, 10 fingers and the softest skin God ever created. I don't know how babies smell this good all the time, especially because most of what comes out is not so appealing.
The Mr and I could not be happier. What a blessing, what a life change, what we wouldn't give for a full night's sleep !! Actually, that may a have a smidgen of truth, but we wouldn't change a thing.
The one thing I think I have learned is that no matter how you think you will cope or how much you want to do everything yourself, you can't. Whether it's that you feel you are the only one that knows how to do the laundry or if you just don't want to be a bother to anyone asking for help with food or cleaning. TAKE THE HELP!!!!!!!
We have been surrounded by friends and family that have been instrumental in our acclimation and my healing time. Help in the house, food, visits or just checking in. These are all wonderful things that people who care for you want to do to help. Let them !!! I know it is hard to let people take care of you sometimes, but you should, I should. And, little by little, I am.
I have realized that I can not do it without them and the best thing that I can do is thank them and let them know how much I appreciate it. I also will be sure to "pay it forward"--that is the best way to balance, karma. We are so lucky to have such cool people in our lives--so incredible.

As I adjust to my new role, I realize more than ever how important it is to make a difference. My job is to pave the way for her to be the best person she can be and I can only do that if I practice what I preach. Yep--I am afraid this is not just as simple as feeding and diapering every 2 hours with no reprieve, it also means living up to my potential and challenging myself to be a better person.....
Crap.......this is going to be more work than I thought. I better start taking those naps people were talking about.
